Ms. Skyberg - Visual Arts Teacher

Hello! I am the Visual Arts teacher at Lucy Laney. Here is a little information about who I am:

•  I am all about Minneapolis:

o   I attended Minneapolis Public Schools from kindergarten through high school (Go Tigers!). 

o   I graduated from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities for both my undergraduate and graduate degrees.

o   I did my student teaching at Minneapolis Public Schools.

•  I love the arts!

o  At UMN, I majored in Studio Art and Art History. Most of my classwork focused on photography and film history.

o  Recently, I have been taken up ceramics and am slowly learning to make pots on the wheel.

o  Another reason I love Minneapolis is for the arts – there’s always an exhibition to see, a museum to visit, a concert to attend, or a play to see!

• My hobbies include paddle boarding, taking my dogs on walks, and learning Norwegian.
