My name is Brandi Grimm and I am the 3rd grade special education resource teacher and I support the students with special needs. This is my eighth year at Lucy Laney, as well as my eigth year as a teacher. I have had the honor of working in multiple grade levels at Laney. Working with students has proven to be a challenging and rewarding experience for me. I enjoy building relationships with all of the students, while also growing as an educator in the general education classrooms.
This year I am lucky to have Mr. MJ Williams as my resident from the University of St. Thomas. Mr. MJ is a former Laney Playworks Coach as well as Special Education Assistant (SEA). Mr. MJ will be working along side me to learn the ways of special education all year and will graduate next spring with a masters degree in Special Education and an ABS teaching license. I am so excited to work with Mr. MJ and I know he will help your student grow as a learner and as an indiviual.
Mr. Patrick Heard will be working closely with me and Mr. MJ as the 3rd grade SEA. Mr. Pat joined the Laney family last year and he has been a wonderful addition! He builds strong relationships with the students and is a positive influence on students and staff alike.
This is my third year in a row working with the wonderful 3rd grade team, and I am looking forward to what this year has in store for us!
