Hello Students and Families,

My name is Alcindor Hollie and I will be your child's 5th grade teacher for this school year. I am so excited to have your child in my classroom as I will push them to do their very best!!!

I am a product of the Minneapolis Public Schools, as I graduated from Minneapolis Washburn in the early 1990's. I also attended the University of Minnesota Duluth studying child psychology and received my Teaching License from Concordia University of St. Paul in 2013. I have worked in the Minneapolis Public School District as an academic A.E and Behavior Dean for 13 years before coming into the classroom as a license teacher.

I am happily married with two daughters(26,22), a son(11), and one grand-daughter(7) who all have, or are attending a Minneapolis Public School. My favorite hobbies are fishing,camping, and watching the Minneasota Vikings play football! Let's have the best school year ever!!

The last thing I want you to know is that one of my most important goals this year is to keep the lines of communication open with my families.
