Mission & Vision

Mission: We exist to ensure that all students learn.

Vision: Creating community that values its children and their quality of life.

Values: Commitment, Cooperation, Respect, Compassion, and Hope.

Lucy Craft Laney Community School is a Minneapolis Public School serving PK-5th grade students in North Minneapolis.  Our approximately 500 students range between the ages of four and eleven years old.

We believe that it is our responsiblity to deliver the keys to academic achievement so that our children can embrace learning.

As a community, we show value for our children and their quality of life by modeling commitment through holding ourselves to high standards; cooperation through family and community partnerships; respect through a focus on culturally relevant teaching; compassion through intentional child development practices; and, hope through an unwavering belief in our children's lifelong successes.
